William Henley

Founder, Chief Executive Officer

William founded IndoSterling Capital in 2011 and serves as the company’s CEO. He leads a team of investment specialists who work closely with high-net-worth investors and mid-sized corporations to identify and exploit opportunities for value creation in Indonesia and across Asia-Pacific markets.

William has more than 20 years of entrepreneurial and financial markets experience. In addition to founding IndoSterling Capital, he is the sole proprietor of IndoSterling Holding Company, which has strong positions in Indonesia’s capital markets, investment, information technology and consumer sectors. Prior to IndoSterling, William drove CIMB Securities’ expansion into Indonesia, oversaw operations at PT Valbury Asia Securities and served as Associate Director at UBS Wealth Management. Before UBS he worked with GK Goh Securities and with Lippo Securities.

William’s professional career is complemented by numerous board positions, directorships and advisory roles with corporates that IndoSterling does business with. Previous to this he was nominated as a Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange, where he gained intimate knowledge of Indonesia’s market regulations, opportunities and challenges. He also served as a member of the Indonesia Stock Exchange’s disciplinary committee.

William holds a Bachelor in Business, Banking and Finance from Monash University in Australia.

Erik Budiman

Director of Investor Relations

Erik is an experienced capital markets’ practitioner and has more than 12 years of professional experience in investment banking, investor relations, commodity/FX sales and risk management. Prior to joining IndoSterling Capital, he was the Group Head of Investor Relations at AKR Corporindo, an IDX listed Indonesian’s largest private sector distributor of petroleum and basic chemicals, supporting the Board of Directors in variety of capital market related activities not limited to investor roadshows & conferences, capital raisings and presentations.

Prior to relocating to his hometown, he was a Senior Associate at a Melbourne based boutique M&A Advisory Practice focusing on middle market and small-to-medium sectors. Erik has lived, studied and worked internationally in 5 different countries including Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan and Indonesia.

Rizwan Rizal

Managing Director of Investment Banking, Merger & Acquisition

Rizwan Rizal has more than 18 years’ experience in financial industry and private equity representing notable institutions such as NWP Retail / Warburg Pincus, CIMB Group, Noble Capital, the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency and Citibank. He was previously Chief Investment Officer of PT NWP Retail, a Warburg Pincus-backed investment company (2017-2018). At PT CIMB Sekuritas , he held senior positions including Director - Head of Mergers and Acquisition (2015-2017), Director – Corporate Client Solutions (2009-2014), VP – Investment Banking (2007-2009), VP – Corporate Finance (2005-2007).

He was an Associate Director at Noble Capital (2004-2005) and an Investment Officer at the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (1999-2004).

He earned a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Trisakti, Indonesia in 1996, followed by an MBA degree in Finance and Artificial Intelligence at Southern New Hampshire University, Graduate School of Business, New Hampshire, USA in 1999. He also attended an Executive Education Program / Leadership Development Program at National University of Singapore Business School, Singapore in 2014.
